Klaipeda FEZ received 12.5 million. LTL support from the Ministry of Economy
Klaipeda Free Economic Zone (FEZ) industrial park will extend Pramones street. Ministry of Economy financed new construction with 12.5 million LTL. The new project will create access to 19 new investment areas occupying 42.18 hectares.
The aim of the project is to develop the Klaipeda FEZ industrial park infrastructure and thus to attract more foreign direct investment. The development of business infrastructure is an important factor contributing to the whole Lithuanian economy's competitiveness and attracting investment as well as promoting development of new businesses and jobs.
Klaipeda FEZ project includes the installation of the street communication and following engineering systems: pavements, bike paths, street lighting, and rain water abstraction. Klaipeda FEZ offers for its start-ups well developed infrastructure area with tax incentives and opportunity to rent space (covering 205 hectares) for industrial activity for the period of 99 years.
The project "Industrial Street in Klaipeda FEZ Phase II construction" will be implemented during 2007-2013 and financed by the EU Structural Funds and State Budget Funds under the program "Invest LT". Klaipeda City Municipality Administration is in charge of the project implementation.
