Klaipeda Port Authority will Increase Staff Salaries
From the second quarter of 2011, the Port Authority Management promises a salary increase. During the last one and a half years, the Port Authority was undergoing changes: staff reduction, structural units decreasing from 30 to 17. The money was saved not only due to the reorganization, but also due to the tenders of contract works, where the price of works had dropped significantly.
The reorganization made the Port Authority management more effective. Clients found the system clearer and more transparent. However, staff reduction brought huge workload. Therefore, the initiative has been taken to increase staff salaries. To what extent and under what principles would wages be increased has not been decided yet.
Last year, the Port Authority's CEO salary was 8525, department Directors' - 10,962, Directors' - 7689, department Heads' - 6933, their deputies' - 5523, project managers' - 4218, specialists' - from 3261 to 4477, pilots' - from 7558 to 9108, the shipping operators' - from 4987 to 6733, ship Captains' - 3981, mechanics' - from 3328 to 3797, sailors-motor mechanics' - 2595, divers - 4564, drivers' - 2829, cleaners' - 1390 litas.
