Klaipeda bakery „Javine“ awarded with „Gazelle 2009“ certificate

The oldest bakery in Klaipeda Javine was awarded with the certificate certifying that the company is one of the most successful and fastest developing companies in Lithuania. The annual business election Gazelle organized by the business newspaper “Verslo žinios” nominates best small and medium-sized businesses in Lithuania.

Javine was nominated as a winner based on the financial activities for the year 2005-2008. During this period sales has increased by 32 percent and export by 63 percent. The company also completed the first phase of the reconstruction and started the production of organic products retaining all the valuable grain properties.

Business development in 2005-2008 helped to keep the similar turnover as in 2009. Export growth to the United States, Germany, England and Ireland compensated the drop in Lithuania consumption. Compared to 2008 the growth in export volumes has increased by 19 percent. In 2009 Javine reached the turnover of 13 million Litas (~ 3.7 mil. euros).

For the 2010 company plans continue to expand the organic product range and production as well as to increase exports and implement the second reconstruction phase.
