Lithuania climbed three places in Doing Business list

Lithuania has ranked 23rd out of 183 countries in the Doing Business 2011 report released on 1 November. The Baltic country climbed three positions compared with the last year's list.

Lithuania's ranking puts it just ahead of Latvia, Belgium and France and one place behind Germany. The other Baltic nation Estonia has ranked 17 th, retaining the same position it held in 2009 list.

Same as in the last year top five countries of Doing Business were: Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the UK and US. The worst country to do business are Chad, Central African Republic and Burundi.

The ranking of Doing Business is done by the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank.
