Mayor of Klaipeda - the best in the country

The Mayor of Klaipeda city was elected as the best Mayor in the country. 60-year-old Rimantas Taraškevičius was nominated because of his innovative ideas regarding the improvement of Klaipeda citizens' life quality, employment reduction, cultural life enrichment and his ability to solve serious problems. Rimantas Taraškevičius is currently serving his third term as a Mayor of the Klaipeda city.

Weekly "Veidas" collected a survey from 135 competent regional political experts including other cities leaders, county chiefs, Ministries Secretaries, municipality departments, and other political institutions. Based on the number of votes received a list of top 30 most outstanding city leaders was announced.

The study by weekly "Veidas" was done based on the practices of authoritative foreign media publications such as Newsweek, Forbes and Independent.
