New flights from Moscow and Minsk are likely to land at Palanga airport

Visitors from Russia and Belarus are most likely to land twice a week at International Palanga airport during June-August months when Palanga becomes summer capital of Lithuania. The negotiations are still taking place however final decisions are expected to be agreed at the end of February.

According to the International Palanga airport representative, the negotiations with a couple of airlines that could fly to Moscow are currently taking place. In order to attract airlines to come, the airport applies flexible prices and attractive bonus schemes.

Representatives from Klaipeda are planning to participate in the exhibition in Minsk and to present a tourism potential of Klaipeda region for tourists in Belarus. The number of Belarusian and Russian tourists visiting Lithuania seaside resorts is growing every year. Many visitors still remember the old days and of course the younger generation is discovering the resorts.

Today flights from the Palanga airport are operating to Riga, Copenhagen and Oslo / Gardermoen.
